The Dragon’s Breath #20 22 October 2003 NINETY-NINE DAYS LATER...By James Bell It’s been exactly 99 days since this website has been updated. And there’s a good reason for that. Let me fill you in. Fiery Dragon is comprised of six busy guys. Scott has been busy. Mike has been busy. Claudio has been busy. Well, clearly we get along well with the folks at Sword & Sorcery. But what about Jason, Todd and I, you ask? Good question. Jason’s been doing extremely well in the Under 17 Soccer tournaments. Using his boyish charm, he’s been able to pass himself off as someone 15 years younger, and the results are pretty evident. Those poor kids have no idea what hit them! Sure, he may get a few more aches and pains then the young fellas, but their youthful endurance doesn’t matter much when they “accidentally” receive an aging knee to the groin (especially one that’s been perfecting that maneuver for an extra 15 years!). Tournament season is over, however, and Jason has left the wounded and broken bodies of teen challengers strewn across the field. Back to business! As for Todd, we’ll he’s still licking his wounds after his divorce from Daphne Haner. Oddly enough, they were married back in 1987, a time when Todd would have legitimately qualified for the Under 17 Soccer program! Anyway, it’s unfortunate, but Todd and Daphne just couldn’t work out their differences after all of these years, and it came to an abrupt end when Daphne’s job at the local Shop N Save conflicted with Todd’s extreme love of crackers. Really, that boy’s got a salt addiction, and it should be addressed, but he certainly wasn’t going to let a bunch of striking workers stand in his way. Daphne’s hyena-like laugh will be missed. As for me, well I’ve been dead since that fateful date back in 1584. Recently, I again confessed my priesthood and paid the price! Things sure are different today than they were back in the time of the first Queen Elizabeth! Nowadays, for instance, I have to wear a special suit to keep all the pieces of my body together (I was drawn and quartered, you see). It’s made from a cotton/poly blend, and such a material would have been unthinkable a mere 400 years ago! I’m still amazed by all of the advances we’ve made. Special greetings to Dan, Rocco and Rusty for their patience. Now back to work! - James Next Week: While we're still unsure of the wisdom in using up a diamond to have James brought back from the dead, we're sure Dragon's Breath will raise its head again! Stay tuned!
